They? Don't you mean we? Which is why I no more trust them to figure out anything else, at this point. All they were doing was trying to frighten us into an us versus them thing, while they made piles of money on the "cold war". America might have been more sophisticated in their tyranny, but it wasn't really any better. It was just an experiment, between Russia, China, Cambodia, Europe, and the US, to see which governments and corporations could get the most complacent obedience from their subjects, at the lowest long-term rates. Direct violence, indirect violence, allowances for sin as means of having blackmail on everyone, tried in different ways, in different countries.
Looks like they don't care, at this point. They will just get rid of, at first the compliant, then manage the rest later, however is required. Hands up, heads down.
I participated in those drills in third grade thru sixth in the 50's. I asked one of those teachers how the kids near the windows were going to be protected from flying glass(the windows in that school were 10X6 feet with individual panes about 16X12 inches, 5 windows to a classroom). She wasn't happy that I asked the question in front of the whole class.
