Florida Begins Closing Boat Ramps

Manatee County boat ramps will be closed to the public to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, it was announced at an emergency meeting held by the Board of County Commissioners Tuesday morning. The closures will begin 6 a.m. Thursday.
The announcement comes after both Manatee and Sarasota counties decided to shut down public beaches last week.
