CHIEF NOSE WETTER'S SARCASM DERIVED THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF A GLASS
I have a Japanese phrasebook that, by the sentences in it, appears to have been written by an upper-class Englishman in the 1920s or thereabouts. One of the phrases in it is, "He was run over to death by an electric car."Not quite "killed to death," but I was reminded of it.
